Enjoy a campfire in the Bruderholz, roast marshmallows, eat, drink, and be merry.

Bring something to eat and drink and a warm jacket for the trip home. Flashlight might not be a bad idea, either.

How to get there:
Transit: Tram 10 or 17 to Therwil, exit and continue a few meters south to the next intersection (Bahnhofstrasse). Go left (east) on Bahnhofstrasse and take the first left onto Baselstrasse. Follow Baselstrasse a few meters and turn right onto Fichtenrain. Follow Fichtenrain east/northeast into the woods (where it turns into Zu den Fichten - don't make the hard left to stay on Fichtenrain and out of the woods). Once in the woods, stay left at the first two splits and right at the third, and the trail will take you directly to the picnic place. The total walk is about 1.5 or 2 km.

Details can be found on the map at <http://www.stadtplan.bs.ch/geoviewer/>. You'll have to scroll south of the city to Therwil. The picnic place is at the intersection just beyond where the white road of Zu den Eichten(Fichten) ends and meets two trails.

Bike from Basel: Follow the number 3 mountain biking route from Basel SBB up into the Bruderholz. After entering the woods, follow the route until you reach a large picnic area with several fire rings at a major turn in the path.

I'll be biking from Basel. Anyone who wants to go with, meet me at the corner of Gundeldingerstrasse and Unterer Batterieweg at 5:30.
