A very good evening had by all I think - and many thanks to Paul for taking the time to come to Switzerland and sit down with the membership, get to know us, answer so many questions, and take suggestions on board - and not least for picking up the tab for last night. One thing that was made clear to me last night is that the local isn't the evil sprawling media empire some of you appear to want to believe.
Naturally it was great to meet some new faces, who I hope I'll see again at future events, and it's always great to see the usual suspects as well.
A very positive, fun, and constructive evening on all accounts. Thanks again Paul.

Glad to see EF all loved up again. Hope this becomes a yearly event. I'd love to meet Paul sometime. It's fun getting tipsy with the boss.

Paul, I am glad you made the effort to come down and meet part of the EF community in Zurich.
You look like a nice guy. I was positively impressed by the fact that you went beyond the "small talk", asked for inputs, and took notes. I noticed and so did many others, and it was a good thing IMO.
Please let this be a start rather than a point of arrival - it would be great if the interaction could be made into a regular appointment, albeit virtual (through Q&A sessions, chat time, etc.).
Good luck!
To all other friends - great to see you all, as usual, and meet new faces | The following 8 users would like to thank BokerTov for this useful post:

Had a great evening - thank you Paul for the drinks and chat.
Again, it was lovely to see you all and put more faces to names and to see someone from a past life: Fatmanfilms. Zurich is indeed a small place.
A special pre-welcome to "Grommit", who may or may not make it onto EF - we shall see | The following 6 users would like to thank Crumbs for this useful post:

Maybe Paul at the Local and Editor Bob are in the position of a step-fathers who have 'taken over' a rather large and unruly family - the family didn't always have the feeling they had their best interests at heart but they were probably going to catch in in the neck whatever they did. Let's hope the new impression of better understanding and cooperation lasts.

Anyhow, I think I met FMF a couple of times before then when I worked as a production manager for Condor Films. We were given a demo of the Motion Control set-up.
And there were some awesome parties at the Primetime Studios in Schlieren. I have a tendency to forget what is happening around me 3 - 4 hours into a party... So that should give you something to talk about | The following 2 users would like to thank Crumbs for this useful post:

I am shootiing in those studios today & tomorrow!

Paul, the meet up was lovely, well worth the big trip over to the German part. Thanks for very human approach and explaining that indeed this "commercial venture" is not after the few pennies it is making but actually to keep up and maintain a positive and constructive platform for our community. Your approach has been very appreciated, so was patience, drinks of course (man, that tab must have gone to hundreds) and, sure, another fun party for a bunch of lovely EFers, so nice to see ya'll again, and some new faces to match with nicks, ooooh.
Alrite, gotta zip over to the GE event and ramble a bit there as well...

Thanks Paul for inviting us. Really appreciate that you made the effort to come to Switzerland to meet up with the forum people. Also nice to meet fatmanfilms for the first time and the other newbies. Shame I missed zymogen .
