City/Town: Pizol
Event Type: Sports
Meeting Point: To be decided

Weather looks nice this Saturday so I am planning to try a new area.
SBB has this month a discount for the Braunwald Snow'n'Rail package.
For example from Zurich, it costs approx. 50 CHF train and ski pass (with halbtax) and takes less than 2 hours to reach the resort.
The resort is small (32 km piste) and looks to have most on the intermediate/easy level.

However I am opened for other suggestions.
I would rather avoid mainstream areas as this weekend might be crowded.

My plan would be to take the 6:10 AM train from Zurich HB and be at the resort shortly after 8 AM. Then rent the skis and be on the slopes by 8:30. However, depending on who is coming we can shift this an hour later.

If anyone interested please post your suggestions.

Later Edit:

Finally chosen destination: Pizol.

Re: Skiing/Snowboarding - Braunwald (or suggestions)

If it were me i would avoid B/wald at all costs:
Firstly you have to wait for the the small infrequent train that takes you to the skiing base THEN the wierd cable car set up on the main lift up the resort comes in clusters of 3 cars then a wait of a few minutes for the next cluster, with everyone jostling for a position awaiting the next car.
I found it (and many people around me) quite stressful.
The lifs move far quicker at for example Flumserberg.
There might be more people there but they are shipped up the mountain much quicker.

Hope that helps.

I would also agree also that Flumserberg or Pizol might be more interesting options

Flumserberg is a good option too.
The idea is to organize something.
Either way I will go tomorrow to one of them but would be nice to setup a small group
