19.03.2012 19:00 to 22:00
*The times shown may change, depending on DST settings
City/Town: Neuchatel
Event Type: Other
Meeting Point: I will PM my address

If you enjoy food and reading, then this is the event for you.

Please bring something nibbly (dessert/appetizer - or for the culinarily challenged a drink) to share and any english books that you are ready to part with. Children are welcome too though I don't have things to entertain them with. Hopefully we'll have some good chats and leave with happy bellies, some new reading material, and a few more familiar faces.

I don't expect this will be a huge event, but would probably need to cap at 20 people given the size of my apartment, so please RSVP if you are coming and what you will bring in terms of food/beverage.
RSVP'd Yes: 4 (4 members and No guests)
  • Kristanez - Gingersnaps. With brown sugar and molasses from my secret cache.
  • x-bow - The food I'll bring is to be defined. Would you suggest something (interesting)?
  • Belgianmum - Will be bringing home made savoury dip and crackers.
  • poshkiwi - I would like to attend.
RSVP'd Maybe: 1 (1 members and No guests) RSVP'd No: 2
  • Kamarate - Fantastic idea - shame I don't finish work until 20:30 (then by the time I get up to yours it would be time to leave!). Definitely another time, though.
  • Ma_Anne
RSVP sign-ups for this event are now closed.

Kristanez, you are too far, but this is an excellent idea for an event. Good luck!

Gata: if you don't mind a 30 minute walk, then yes, yes it is. It is also only 400m from a bus stop. I know it's not ideal, but it would be great to meet you!

Just thought I'd give this a bump. At this rate any comers will get to eat a lot of gingersnaps - it's prime time people!

Yay! I'm glad some of you are able to make it! Now others can be less shy too. It's okay, we don't bite!

Xbow, I would recommend you make something from your home country, or from your family favourites...that, or debrovnik....drool.

Re: Neuchatel Nibbles & Book Swap-aganza

An evening doesn't really suit me, but I regret it as I have tons of books and I'd be so happy to swap!

Gata, would you like to try some swapping? I'm running short of reading things too!

Maybe we could organize a daytime event too? I have loads of books that my OH would be really happy to see gone so I have plenty to share round two different swaps.
