@Belgianmum, that's great! (I hate cooking by the way, so don't expect too many home-made delicacies :ashamed

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

I'll be bringing murder/mystery novels I think. (I'm still trying to find the perfect way to bump hubbie off).
So difficult to part with books so probably only a few!
Is anyone interested in knitting magazines? A friend in the UK sends me her old ones and I'm in danger of being buried by the things but can't bear to just chuck them.

@Gata, see you outside Cornevin at 9.

Anjela, sadly I won't be able to make the book exchange, but I would love to get my hands on some of those knitting magazines.

If possible, could you bring some, and give them to Melusine to pass on to me. She's a friend of mine
I am sure Melusine can vouch for me being a totally normal person

You won't be normal once you've read enough knitting mags!
I'll lug along a few, can always get more to you some other time!

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

I am VERY disappointed that I will not be able to make it tomorrow. Ends up my husband is having shoulder surgery in the morning so will need to be at the hospital. I would love to join in the next event. Perhaps we can have a dinner out sometime - meet in Morges or something as a midway point? In any case, hope y'all enjoy yourselves!

UPDATE:

My son and I both woke up with a sore throat and fever and flu-like symptoms. In order to avoid contaminating everybody the book swap is CANCELLED!

Sorry girls, I'm awfully disappointed

So sorry you're ill, really hope it's not too serious and you're both better soon.
Hubbie's happy, he's set off for work clutching a boy full of fruit scones to share with his team!
See you all next time.....

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

That's exactly what the other ladies said: the husbands are so happy to have yummy things to eat today!

I love scones, I'm so jealous... I go to the doc later this morning to check if it's a strep throat, as my son and I have exactly the same symptoms.

I didn't realise cannabalism was allowed in Switzerland.

Seriously though I hope Melusine and her son are both better soon.

Looking forward to the rearranged event.

My hubby had exactly the same reaction when I told him we would have to eat the stuff I'd prepared.
