Re: Lutry morning book exchange

I'll be hosting the book swap, thanks Gata for creating the event for me!

My flat is easily accessible by car and bus (bus 9, the stop 'Grand Pont' is less than 5min from my place).

I'll PM you my address and phone number if you wish to come!

PS: I have a little dog and two guinea pigs, in case you have allergies!

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

I hope ayemibbe has been invited, he has 1000's of books to give away, if he can fit them on his retro bike.

He could also bring one of his old Seasick Steve 2-stingers for serenading you young fillies.

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

Gata, what time train are you planning to catch from Cornevin?
I'll be in town from about 8:30 as have to get a lift in with hubbie, so could meet you at the station? Does it have a clock to meet under...... never looked?!

Are there any parking places around? Carol would be on her way back to Evian area, so 2 cars involved.

Hi

Im planning to get the 945 train to Lausanne. We can meet earlier and have a cup of coffee at the station. Its being renovated at the moment but maybe we can meet at the main entrance. PM me your number if you want otherwise it may prove impossible!

Melusine did say on the other thread that there were spaces available nearby.

I could pick people up from Lausanne station on my way. I've never been to Lausanne but it can't be that hard can it?

I googled earthed the address and apparently the flat is only 800m from Lutry train station. Melusine can you confirm if its true? If it is i dont mind walking that so no need for you to come all the way into Lausanne. But thanks for the offer

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

We have a few visitors parking spaces (I'll precise where by PM) and places in the street (2 hours with a disk).

Going straight to my place from the motor way is pretty easy (5 min from Belmont/Lutry exit).

Driving in Lausanne is always a bit yucky if you're not used to it, but around 11am there's no traffic so it's easier!

It's gonna be great!!! Looking forward to it!!!

It's true indeed. But there's only 2 trains/hour from Lausanne train station.

I am terribly ashamed of myself, but i don't know exactly where the Lutry station is... but I know it's close! as I have a direct bus going to town (ie Lausanne) I usually take that.

Yeah! Its a 15 minute walk max, mostly straight. We have around 15 minutes to change trains at Lausanne train station so we should be ok. I hate driving in places i dont know so i would feel bad to make Belgianmum go through this for me.

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

I'm hoping to be back in time for this.
Does anyone want anything brought back from London?
It would have to be easily-obtainable and light as I've only got a very small suitcase.

Re: Lutry morning book exchange

I would love to join the fun as I live right next door in Paudex. Would be exciting to put some faces to avatars! What kind of books will people be bringing? Adult only? Teen novels? Baby books?

Regarding the Lausanne train station, I would be happy to pick anyone up as I am familiar with the area and it would be no stress for me. I have a VW Sharan so could fit 6 additional people in the car.

It's nice to see so many of you wish to come!

As for the book selection, if some of you have kids/baby books to swap I'd be happy to have a few, as I have two kids myself!

Since this will be a kind of lunchtime thing too I think I'll bring something savoury instead of the biscuits. Hope that's ok for everyone.
