Does anyone own a grill? A picnic/BBQ might be fun on the lake somewhere.

And no, I'm not volunteering to organize...

I would, but then I'd have to commit to going. Commitment scares me, not organizing.

How about early next week at Inglewood right next to Uni-Mail? Their burgers are pretty good, and they take reservations (in fact, it's usually so full that it's a necessity). Early next week is doable for me, after that it would have to be the last week of April.

Next week's out as I'm already committed to the book-swap in Lutry on Monday. But the end of April is do-able.

Big thanks to Grynch for BB11 by the way, nice to put some fizzogs to names at last!

For anyone wanting to BB in Zurich (since you folks are planning down south ), the new Fork & Bottle also has nice burgers, and a excellent selection of artisanal beers http://www.forkandbottle.ch

Re: beer and burger III

Apologies if I'm crashing a private party... but beer and burger sounds good! The burgers at the Clubhouse are amazing... plus there's a GelatoMania just around the corner for gelato to eat by the lake afterwards.

Aww, grynch, how long are you on restriction? I was going to give you a suggestion for another place for a Romandie beer and burger event -- Rando Burger in St Cergue. We ate there last Sat. evening and it was really good!

Website is www.randoburger.ch

Yikes. That is a long time with no beer (much less burgers). Better find a way to weave some red wine or Prosecco into your plan! And as long as you swim in CH, can't you wear the baggy board shorts to the pool/beach? No need to fit into the Speedo.

Rando Burger does grilled chicken sandwiches as well!

yer killing me !! ( not been up to st. cergue for a couple of years now )

mrs. and I are talking of going to Leukerbad for a long weekend in a couple of weeks ... I think the restrictions might drastically fall apart then.

it's a health spa right? .. certainly the walking and the waters would more than make up for any damage a couple of Corona's would cause

We must be seeing the same doctor, mine's just told me my triclycerides are through the roof and I'm basically banned from all carbs and plonk.
Life's just not worth living at the moment..... especially as my younger son ordered a huge chocolate cake for my birthday party last week and I'm having the dubious pleasure of watching hubbie eating it. Sob.....
