Great turnout last Sunday. It would be super if we could maintain this level of attendance... |

The indoor idea is still under debate. On Sunday I publically declared complete laziness and said if anyone is interested in arranging a place, I'm easy with that decision.
Personally, I'd like to keep it as central as possible and ideally free, ha ha.
More importantly, the Sunday afternoon window is what makes it special: there are loads of opportunities to play mid-week and it doesn't appeal as much for me to be playing out of town on a Tuesday... |

That said - last Sunday the weather was still perfectly playable, the sun even came out at one stage.
Having said that, I did take this picture of the Schanzengraben canal before I left. |

I might join you guys this sunday as our season has a break now for a few months for the winter.
Any problems with me asking some more of our players to come?
If you need more numbers I can bring an extra 10 or so?
let me know

let me know | | | | | Its an interesting question as to whether we could ever get too many. I'd say any more than 20 (4 teams of 5 rotating), and people would be standing around for far too long - especially with it getting colder.
Trouble is its difficult to predict, last week we had around 14, the week before we had five. I think, as stated by Uncle Max, we need to start pushing people to use the RSVP thing, and mentioning this to people on a Sunday - especially if we're going to have an influx from FC Hard.

ok, indoor stuff looks like the following: Robs secretary has called nearly all of my addresses and all rejected our idea. i do have to call the Gemeindeamt ( they are to be said very helpful with such issues, lets see...)what i will do definately today. this is the 3rd last option.
1st option:
our man from chelsea, evans3 said, his mates do play in an indoor place near wiedikon. i dunno where, how, what...he just mentioned it, i think it is on on friday?
im going to ask him how we could get a coup on this.
a) we join them like 15 people, 3 teams of 5 with "first of 3"
b) we do get the address, contact details, the process how to get a go and do make an appointment ourselfes with them/authorities of the hall
2nd last last option:
woud be to call up schule am schanzengraben, right at our pitch. they have a small indoor hall close by. adrian thinks that asking them could spoil our sunday 5a-side-thing due to the fact that we are not allowed to play there on sunday stated by the sign. but its obvious that it is easy, most clearly by letting that pitch open all time!!??!! and we did behave, caused not much noise...so comprehension is working instead of plain "law". no way this thing was going on all the time for 6months without notice (kids from school saw us, people passing by...residents would have informed school/authorities because of noised up sunday) -> I think there might be a chance from the school side. and i think it is an argument pro our players that we havent caused any trouble, so we wont when using that hall. what we dont know: can we use it as an footypitch or is it just a gymnastics hall?
what do you think? do you see a risk wrecking the sunday games by waking sleeping dogs or do you think its more likely that they say no/yes (to the hall request), but "yes you can still use that pitch"?
the last option: halle für alle in meilen.
this is the worst case for having it on a sunday. because they mostly do have events going on then, starting and ending on different times. average 8-10am to 6pm-8pm, as i could see. possible would be, that we ask them when we could fit in their schedule. before the event starts, afterwards...if its possible in general or is it not because of the abwart/hallenwart/service guys that must be there etc., etc.
i think small option on sunday, bigger chance by booking the weekday x
ahead for a couple of weeks (i think, many people want to book it, as i know how it was in Munich, e.g)-> crap!!!!
if we have drawn all options, we have to discuss if we have a day that we can fix for a game during weekdays. but this is nearly impossible...
ok, ill do my best and let you know today....x fingers and let me know about schanzengraben. the chance is there, but very, very small...

After reading the flow23 post I called to the Kantonschule Enge,
Maybe you remember that I got an offer for the whole winter season for CHF 500 per 2 hours at the evenings.
Well now they say that all the evenings are "ausverkauft"
So I kindly requested if it could be possible to use it on Sundays that should be free as the school is closed.
The responsable told me that they could do it as an exception
but it would cost CHF 750 per Sunday, and for that money we could use it up to 4 hours on sunday..... A bit expensive don't you think ?

shit! shit, shit, shit!
75chf for sunday...thats the price for a monthly gym excercise.
one interesting thing is, that at least one school said yes.
so potentially there are more out there, i think.

Perhaps don't mention we play on their outdoor pitch at Schanzengraben. We can always ask if the hall is available without giving our 'game' away. Thanks to all for making these efforts.

If you're struggling to find a pitch, the FC Hard thread has some info about Saturday / Sunday matches that we're trying to line up at the Astroturf pitch in Brunau (Allmende I think) - more the merrier for that as well.
Oh, and I'll see you Sunday |

ok, i called the gemeindeamt and spoke to a very, very nice lady on the phone. she said, that she would like to give us a indoor place, but i should have asked in may-july. because all interested sportsmen booked the halls long ahead. so basically she ran out of facilities. but she said, that footy is handled, understood as an outdoor sport and footballers were served at last. but if she had a place left...we could have managed it.
so... halle für alle is going to be next, then mr evans3. but i do think, we have to bridge the time until spring doing this business ->
sorry, lads. |

Yes I also got the same answer a month ago
There is a saying in spanish... "crab which falls asleep is carried away by the flow"
no worries.. there have been experiences in the past of outdoors football, even in the Antartic
I will be there standing at my goal with pride |
