Thank you. I will miss it this time as I'm already committed to a morning cricket event, but I will make it next time.

Already dreaming of KFC....

Re: The Quest for a KFC 6-piece (an official LIB run) the 10th edition

Just to satisfy my morbid curiosity, is the KFC you make a run for; like 1 million times better than the KFC in the states? bout 3 years ago was the last time I tried a bucket of the stuff and it was all of pure awful and disgusting... slimy jello textured meat on bones...as if the chickens didn't get to move one muscle from day of hatching to day of slaughter.

If it is indeed pure ecstasy of crispy yumminess of years gone by... I would love to plan for this run (adventure) next year.

Well, to be honest with you, I never really ate much KFC back in the States...in terms of taste, it tastes about the same, however they don't have some of the key ingredients such as mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits. This is not about the food itself but rather about nostalgia and procuring something, which is not readily available here in Switzerland.

I ate a lot of KFC as a teen, it was good...(nearly as good as my grandma's and mom's) then sometime in the 90's, when I got back from living in Iceland, they changed and I quit going, but every so often I'd see a commercial and get the urge and go get a meal and then be severely disappointed. I was hoping when I saw this thread that maybe Euro KFC chains used better chickens, maybe?

I tried the one Oprah was giving a thumbs up to in Seattle, Ezell's (http://www.ezellschicken.com/) ... it was a greasy and nothing like on the picture.

I would love to find a nice fried chicken joint here in Chur, I get tired of making it myself, sometimes it tastes better when someone else does all the work

Due to the lousy Züri weather, my cricket match has been cancelled. LiB -- is there room for one more? I'd love to come if possible. (No car, coming from Zurich, can be at the starbucks at Noon).

(Sorry for the last minute change )

How come I could go to a KFC in China but not in Switzerland......
Basel too far for 'fast' food
I'll bread my own.
