*The times shown may change, depending on DST settings
City/Town: Near Neuchatel
Event Type: Dinner
Meeting Point: Odile's place

Odile has kindly offered to host the Neuchâtel end of year party again this year and it will be an Indian themed event.
Odile lives up in the mountains above Neuchâtel but her place is easily accessible by public transport.

Where : Odile's place near Neuchatel (please PM Odile for address and directions.
When : Sunday November 25th from 11 am.
Cost : Approx 15chf per person towards the cost of food , children under 5 free.
What to bring : Yourselves plus a small wrapped gift (value around 5chf) for secret Santa. Please label your gift male/female or either.

We will be preparing all the food in advance so no need to bring anything with you unless requested to beforehand.

Drinks will be provided using funds left over from the previous Christmas party.

In order to avoid any problems regarding funding (since we will have to purchase everything in advance) we will be asking for all those attending to make their payments given deadline as was the case last year. The exact amount and details for making the payments will be provided at a later date but we are looking at 15chf as the approximate cost at the moment.

Sign up now to avoid disappointment as there are only 40 places available for this event.

Ooops and I forgot to thank a very important person ... our Chancellor of the Exchequer, without whom we would have gone bankrupt already - BelgianMum - it seems she's managed to balance the books almost perfectly- hurrah.

And another very special man, of course - my dearest OH who puts up with my bright ideas- and helps tirelessly and with a smile- despite having never ever been on a Forum! He is definitely a one off

Belated thanks from me too, to the cooks and organisers, and especially Odile's OH for his heroic dash down the mountain for the train. I still think he should have taken out the little old lady on the pedestrian crossing and claimed the Brownie Points!
Hope everyone made it home safely and Odile's palace is almost back to normal.

'til next time.

Re: Neuchatel area end of year party. Indian food!

I found a Santa's present just for Tehmi under the table when I was clearing up- totally blame Santa John for his over enthusiastic picking up of the bag! Will take it to Kristanez tomorrow when we pick up furniture, and she can give it to BM on Thursday, and hopefully it will find its way to the right and lovely recipient

Ahhhhhhhh. Thanks odile! I think it's just chocolate so don't worry too much. If it doesn't find it's way into Tehmi's tummy (unlikely) it will find its way into mummy's tummy ( very likely)!!!!! Xxx

Speedster has no particular reputation at present
Re: Neuchatel area end of year party. Indian food!

Just wanted to say thanks to Odile and her husband for hosting the wonderful party. Thanks to the chefs, Sapin and KMB, for the really good food and the effort that went into preparing the dishes.

It was great to meet all you wonderful people. I had a really good time.

Tina, thank you for the ride to Odile's place and back.
