For people living in Lausanne/Geneva region:5th Nov. Hiking and wellness in Valais

This is a post i am transfering from Genevaonline, I am going myself so would be glad to share this infos with those who just settled down in the french speaking region and are curious about what else could be done in the weekend The original post is attached below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
How about a hiking tour next Sunday? About 3-6 hours / 400-800 m difference in altitude (depending on weather conditions) with picnic on the summit. After the tour: lets relax in the hot springs of Lavey les Bains (23 CHF entrance fee).

Meeting point (for car pooling): 10:00 a.m. at parking of shopping center in Villeneuve (freeway exit Villeneuve (after Montreux)).

For LoLers: I could organize a car pooling from Lausanne if you are interested.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mark,
I dont know whether EF is tolerant enough for posts from other forums. Let me know if you think this post is inappropriate and i will remove it. I know you are the ass-kicking person. This is more like an infomation sharing.

Hi Ella, actually Diem is the moderator here - so he'll be doing any kicking the posteriors if needed

But seriously, I think it's ok as long as you are going along. I think copying and pasting other social events from other sources without the original poster actually going would probably not be the best thing to do, but the way you've done it seems ok to me.

Maybe include something about yourself (like how to recognise you or PM for your phone number or something) might be nice so if a forum member came they might feel like they knew someone, even though you are just attending the event with all the people on Geneva online.

I think more events for the French speaking (or rather non-Zurich) people is a fine thing.

Hi Ella, thanks for posting.

Please add the event as a ranged event to the calendar. If you need help, drop me a PM.

Hi Ella,

Click on "MySettings" (top menu bar), then "Edit Options". In the section called "Messaging and Notifcation", make sure the "Enable Private Messaging" is active.

Then we can PM.

Right, Mark, for people that are willing to come, PM me so we can talk about details. If you go there directly (Villeneuve), just look for the small Asian girl with a big smile on her face (I ve even changed my profile picture to be more precise )

Hope to see more friendly faces there!!

An excellent suggestion, except that you've specifically altered your profile to prevent people from PMing you (a point Diem already mentioned). The default is to allow PMs, which means you've turned it off for some reason. I'd send you a PM to tell you about this fact, but obviously I can't either.

Hi Ella,

I've added details to your calendar entry, as "see the events section for details" doesn't say anything, especially with no link.

You should also try to find a more definitive meeting arrangement other than "look for the asian". (Interestingly, many of my asian friends believe that they almost the only one in Zürich, hmm....)

Also, please turn on your PM facility as outlined above!
