This weekend doesn't work for me, unfortunately, but I'd love to try this another time if there's sufficient interest

Done.
At the end we were 19 people, divided into into two groups. The weather was really nice and the fresh snow was fantastic.

Hi!
I'm planning on taking my family up to try cross-country skiing this week... We're all beginners, but fit! So we may need some input on technique to start...might the hirers be able to help here?
Will I be able to hire for 3 or 4 at the sportissimo shop? And just to clarify, is that in Le Noirmont or Saignelegier itself? The link hasn't been working, so not able to clarify...
Sorry, lots questions, but next time, now I'm a member, I'll try and join you all!
All the best,
Ben

Its Snowup this Sunday (the same thing as Slowup but in the snow ..) which is a great chance for you to try out cross country/raquette etc. Here is the website http://www.snowup-interjurassien.ch/...nowup-2015.pdf
Its based in and around Saignelégier but as I read in the Quotidien Jurassien that some 20 000 people are expected, it seems a better bet to take the train either from Delémont or park at Glovelier.
Lots of free attractions, and great even for families with very young children (bring your sledges to pull them along). Its been snowing alot up in Franche Montagnes (the downhill ski stations are open at the moment too) so conditions are ideal.

... | | | | | Here you can find the plan of the Franches Montagnes XC skiing area: http://skidefond.ch/images/plans/plan01-02-03-04.pdf
And in general, http://skidefond.ch , section " Centres & pistes" is your friend.
Which link doesn't work?
