City/Town: Zuriberg
Event Type: Sports
Meeting Point: Zoo Tram Stop

It has been a while since our last MTB meet so we will continue the theme next Tuesday (Weather permitting). The weather is supposed to improve over the next few days, and the long range forecast for next Tuesday looks reasonable Hopefully we will get some drying time and they will improve by next week.

The route will be a few times around the bike loops on top of Zuriberg, then we will ride over to Adlisberg and take a trail down to Burgweiss. The trails on Zuriberg are split up like ski pistes (Blue, Red and Black), but all join together at the end of each section. So it is possible for the group to ride together but do slightly different difficulty sections. We will aim to be back at Burgweis just as it gets dark so bring some lights to ride back home through the city.

If your interested in coming sign up. Remember to bring your helmet.

Small Print: We will be riding on singletrails, so minimum requirements are a reasonable mountain bike with knobbly tires.

Anyone participating in the EF rides are doing so at their own risk.

  • Jekyll - SORRY. Not going to make it this time. Hope it's not too wet for the rest of you.
RSVP sign-ups for this event are now closed.

Re: Mountain Biking Tue 29th April[Zurich]

The weather seems unsettled for tomorrow evening. There will probably be some rain at some point between here and then, but it might be dry for the bike ride. Lets hope it only rains a little bit and the trails will be in good condition.

Looking like the weather might not be too bad. But now I've just tempted fate!

Its on Forchstrasse about 500m further up then Hegibachplatz. Its the place where we came out of the forest and decided where we would go for a drink on the last Tuesday evening ride.

You gonna make it tonight?

Re: Mountain Biking Tue 29th April[Zurich]

I am going to stick to the road tonight but if I finish my road ride at about the same time as I was going to head up to Forch and thereabouts weather permiting, may be up for meeting for a drink? Is that in the plans tonight?

Yeah why not. The trails on the Altberg were drying up very nicely on Sunday and there hasn't really been heavy rain. I just cursed us all

Now that part was certainly true last night!

Thanks for the ride Eire and Uncle Albert. Top circuit was more manageable last night, but the second clay based downhill needs some drying time and a break from riders (it's getting rutted).
