*The times shown may change, depending on DST settings
City/Town: Zurich, Uetliberg
Event Type: Sports
Meeting Point: Triemli Tram Stop

Last weeks MTB meet was good fun, and with the weather forecast looking up we will continue the theme next Tuesday. Uetliberg should be dry by Tuesday so lets do the first EF trip to "Uetzgi"

We will ride up from Triemli, enjoy the view for a few minutes and then head down the Antenna trail. We will aim to get back to Triemli just as it gets dark so bring some lights to ride back home through the city.

If your interested in coming sign up. Remember to bring your helmet.

Small Print: We will be riding on singletrails, so minimum requirements are a reasonable mountain bike with knobbly tires.

Anyone participating in the EF rides are doing so at their own risk.

RSVP'd Yes: 8 (8 members and No guests) RSVP'd Maybe: 1 (1 members and No guests)

Is the meeting point at the Triemli tram stop or the train station?

Oh, and a note for those who have not done Uetliberg before. If you are worried about tackling the single track for the first time there is the option of going back down the road. There are also a couple of places near the beginning of the single track where you can easily get onto the road. So you can try the single track, and if you don't like it switch back to the road.

What level of MTB experience is needed for Uetliberg? I've heard it's quite steep...

The climb is long, but quite gradual. So only really needs a bit of fitness. The single track can get steep in places on the way down. But as said earlier, there are alternative, easier ways of getting down.

I was wondering how long it would take one of you to pick up on that...

So if I understand right,

If I get late to the Triemli stop and you just left without me. I have just to go quick to the trail and locate the group with the guy on the pink bike and that would be you, right ?

Re: Mountain Bike Meet 6th May 2008 [Uetliberg]

I came to work early today so I can leave early and don't miss the event.

Hope I can do it, because I have some pain at the leg abductors, but we'll see.

In case I arrive late I know what I have to look for to find you
