Alright folks, since the whole podcast thing may take a while to set up, I've decided to give our very own EF chat a bump. For many the uninitiated, simply click on "community" (3rd option from the right) and then select "Live Chat" (last option). This place can be used for chit-chat, light banter, etc.
Since we're all in the same boat, why don't we try to take our minds of the dire situation we're faced with and help each other get safely get through "The Lockdown".
RSVP'd Yes: 2 (2 members and No guests)
  • lost_inbroad
  • ZuriRollt - But am incredibly shy so might not say anything, but would love to tune-in if that‘s OK?
RSVP'd Maybe: 2 (2 members and No guests)
  • Pancakes
  • roegner - Will try, previous times it did not work to access the chat
RSVP sign-ups for this event are now closed.

It seems to use Flash. Adobe Flash.
That's why Safari doesn't load it because I've stopped installing it years ago.

You guys realize this will be EOL in a couple of months?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flash#End_of_life

Support will be removed in most mainstream browsers a while before that.

It's also one of the most notorious infection vectors of PCs for malware and viruses - as such, using it to chat over a virus-induced lockdown is very appropriate, I give you that.
Yes it does use flash but that's not the reason it stopped working.

Yes, it will be EOL soon and it's not a good thing to install but I was willing to do it for the EF chat for now. I will deinstall it again tonight.

JagWaugh installed an IRC-EF-chat back when they turned off the chat here. I checked and it is gone. I guess it went across his system.

Wanted to say, the last I know of an EF chat is the one that JagWaugh made possible (can’t remember exactly when that was)
