Lausanne Pub Crawl

Hi,

I'm trying to see if there is any interest in a Lausanne Pub Crawl on a Saturday sometime in October.

Thanks

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

I would be up for that, get to know a few good places to go and a few good people as I have not managed to make it for the Thursday meet ups so been work mate bound (which is not terribly exciting)!

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

HI,

So how about October 18th or Nov 1? ( I have to so to Geneva on the 24th, Friday)

The questions would be location, time, and establishments.

Location: I was figuring we probably would want to end up around the Flon district in case people want to stay out all night. So, we could just stay in Saint Francois and hit every possible establishment between the Church and the train station. Call in the Saint Francois Crawl.

Time: I was thinking after lunch so people have a chance to eat. So maybe from 2pm- 11pm.

Bars: If we think about about one establishment per hour that would be anywhere from 8-9 bars.( People who come late will know what establishment to meet us at.) I have been to about 5-6 bars in the area and I know a couple more that I haven't been to sample yet. I can have a sample list by next Monday.

let me know your ideas and what's best for everyone

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

All sounds like a good plan that you have got going there, and like you say if we have a list and stick to the 1 per hour rule everyone will know when to join if they arrive later.

Preference for the weekend for me is 2 Nov as 18 Oct i may be away. But if the pref of other is the earlier date I will try and make it

Looking forward to it

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

Hi,

A pre US election / post Halloween pub crawl sounds good ( Nov 1st). It could get us ready for the Santa ( St. Nick) crawl in December.

But let's see what the others think.

peace

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

Hi there,

We have been doing pubcrawls in lausanne for more than a year. Most of the particpants joining come from EPFL, UNIL or Lausanne town. In our last pubcrawl, we were more than 100 people with a mailing list of more than 300.

We normally organize it every last thursday of month (with exceptions). In case you would be intersted to join the mailing list, please write to lausanne.pubcrawl@gmail.com

cheers

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

Someone of an organisational frame of mind might want to set up a doodle page so we can see who's interested and free when.

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

Ok, here's the doodle since no one seems to have taken the bait:

http://www.doodle.ch/nzvsp8i7c6y3b62z

It lists all the Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until the end of the year (slight overkill I know).

Simply fill in your name (no email required) and the slots when you are free.

I humbly request that the OP takes care of the rest of the organisation, however I'll be happy to pop out to the pub for smaller groups (of good-humoured, witty and intelligent people ).

Should I assume that Kate has made a mistake or is she really not available at all?

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

AsadDeej,

I got the e-mail about the Pub Crawl on Thursday, October 30th. Brilliant!!!! I will post the itinerary on this space so those who are interested can come.

I will also try to speak to the organizers of the Lausanne Pub Crawl about scheduling a crawl duirng a weekend so that those people living outside Lausanne can partake in the festivities.

Peace

Re: Lausanne Pub Crawl

The 12th ANZPCCL "Drink the Financial Crisis Away" Pubcrawl

And here's where the logic comes from: If you invested 1000 francs in Fannie Mae one year ago you would have 12.50 francs left, if it were Lehman Brothers you would have nothing left, if it were AIG you would have 29.00 francs left. However, if you had bought 1000 francs worth of beer, drank it all and recycled the cans you would have 98.00 francs!

So the best current financial advice:
DRINK HEAVILY AND RECYCLE.

When: Thursday 30th October 2008
Time: 7:30pm
Staring bar: King Size.

Detailed itinerary to follow…..
