City/Town: Zurich
Event Type: Sports
Meeting Point: Triemli Tram Stop

A few of us will be meeting to go Mountain Biking on Tuesday evening. Meeting is at 18:45 at the Triemli tram stop.

The route will be up Uetliberg, a quick break to enjoy the view from the lookout at the top, and then take one of the trails back down. A cool refreshing beverage and a bratwurst from Verderer Sternen or Cantina afterwards is optional.

If you are interested RSVP here. All welcome.

Cancelled due to Armageddon.

Small Print: Mountain biking can be dangerous, if you participate in this ride you do so at your own risk and agree to wear a helmet. No helmet, no ride. A mountain bike with knobbly tyres and front suspension is neccesary for this ride.

  • Eire - Providing it is not chucking it down.
  • BritKiwi
  • Yokine - precipitation dependant ;-)

Re: Mountain Bike Ride Tue 26th May

If the weather looks good for next week then I would be keen to extend the ride over towards the "golf ball/radar mast" as discussed last week.

I hope that those of you who make it this week have a great ride.

From other sources, its sound like the "leitliweg" (?) is good at the moment. So maybe try that one if the rain holds off.

Think its spelled "Leiterliweg"... but its Swiss German so anything goes.

Re: Mountain Bike Ride Tue 26th May

I think we are cancelled guys. The trail will be a mudbath and there is a possibility of trees down too.

Any bikes going down will be hidden under a pile of dirt at the bottom which makes the Heckler that Jekyll posted look clean!

Impressive bike recognition skills Eire. Did you get it from the frame design or the "RU" visible on the frame?

I think that the Salsa Lover has got to take a lot of the blame for the late cancellation of this ride. If only he'd posted his weather forecast on this thread then we could have been better prepared.
