thanks Amaraya for posting up this event!
And as an extra bit of information for all who wish to join, the poetry which you bring along can be yours or someone elses. We don't discriminate
In addition, we would like all participants to select a single poem in advance, and post it within this topic in advance.
The idea is that those who participate, get to read a few of the poems we will talk about prior to the meeting, so that we can then go through them during the first part of the club, sharing emotion and and so on within the club members, after which we will then turn towards the poems which were NOT shared in advance by the other members of the club
I'll be posting my poem shortly... just need to decide which one it'll be
p.s. If you do NOT have a printer, send me a PM with the poems you want printed out and I'll make a few copies prior to the event!

Ok, here's my contribution. It is a poem I wrote, and I recently translated into french. So for the fun of it, here it is in both english and french You Complete me
I still recall the taste of your lips,
The heat of your tongue so sweet.
Agony of an impression you left on me,
A pain I feel if we are never to meet.
Memories of one time long ago,
Dreams of you still wash ashore.
I just want something I can never have,
A kiss from you just once more. Tu Me Rends Entier

Twixt Tuesday and Thursday
In the midst of the week;
You couldn't choose a worse day
For those in Zoo-reek.
So next time: a weekend
For your salon of wits?
Our fury'd be weaken'd
And we'd love you to bits!

DB: does this mean you're joining ? Please only post a poem if you ARE joining. Time is limited and we can only go through 15 poems or so in a single evening... (maybe we can do a weekend poetry club as well one day, for our fellow Zurich members!)

The jet part might be hard, but if you don't mind the fact that I'm a dude, I can give you the foot rub ?

haha | | | | | Haha. Stop it or we won't find anyone else to join us. You know, the poetry folks are otherwise reasonable, sensible and respectable... *runs off to hide* Anyways, thanks for the bi-lingual poem, that's fantastic. I need bilingual anything I can find.
I am not sure of my poem yet, hopefully add one translation tonight, or sumfin. |

Hi Amaraya
Thanks for posting the invite. I chanced upon it, albeit very very late.
Do we have something along similar lines happening in or around Lausanne as we speak? Please let me know.
I am an amateurish, wannabe poet who recently moved to lausanne and who is on the lookout for a group where to share some of my, often ignomious, creations.
Thanks for letting me know.
Best,
M

I don't know if the poetry club still meet, here's a few of mine on Autumn.
1.
Slowly disrobes
Attaire strewn across floor
Awaiting rebirth.
2.
Eyes look through window
As we greet the morning sun
Gardens strewn with gold.
3.
Dropping cushioned floor
Kaleidoscopic colours
Nature's own carpet.
4.
Crunching underfoot
All those rainbow coloured leaves
Pleasure autumn brings.
5.
Scattering wildly
While they scamper through the trees
Making a child smile.
6.
Seeing Autumn's moon
Reflecting in lover's eyes
Cleansing of spirit.
7.
Unveiling slowly
Her bared limbs finding freedom
Awaiting snows coat.
8.
Winter's drawing
Days are growing shorter now
Cuddling time beckons.

This is not bad!
Thanks for sharin'!
We haven't met for years but could revive the club, fo sho. If there is an interest..
I think my poems would contain the themes of..motion, release, gratitude, young voices. Apples and soups. Yurts, somewhere in there | This user would like to thank MusicChick for this useful post: | |
