Ever since I moved to Zurich I have been missing my monthly fix of ballroom dance, especially salsa. I had hoped that someone else would organize a club or events, but after a year I decided it is time to step up.

I am going to post the flyer there tomorrow or tonight (need to change some minor things on it). The DJ Orestes from Havanna/Bern (an expat too) is going to be there.
I'd say anyone who is coming from your club only has to pay 5 fr instead of 15 (sorry that it is not totally free but I must pay the DJ, the flyer etc etc).
I have registered too by the way and will tell my friends at work about your club as we have been talking about an expat club for salsa people missing in ZH (no longer now :-) ).

That sounds great. Since you also organize commercial events and can get the group discounts I have added you as our assistant organizer. Feel free to post events. The only thing I ask is you have people meet for drinks before any event in an identified location. That way people can chat and get to know eachother and know who they can feel comfortable to grab on to the dance floor.

the salsa club Zurich is going to meet up in JIL already at 8.15 pm to have a dinner and drinks together and to get to know each other. If anyone else wants to join, please let me know as I will book the table for everybody.

You mean for the Zurich Salsa Group? The last was last night, and the next one has not been planned yet. I'd say just register at the meetup and you will receive a notification as soon as the next night is announced.
As for my own parties, the next one is planned for late autumn, although I will only start working on it in september because of my holidays this month.
If anybody has a suggestion about a good club to host the event, please feel free to tell me (it just has to have enough space to dance and wooden floor would be nice), it can be zurich or zug...
