How ridiculous is CHF 9.00 handling costs for CHF 20.00 tickets?
Is this only thru ticketcorner or also from the other venues? Need to pick up my ticket.

With the 13 world cup names away, it will be interesting to see the others given a chance, along with the new guys.

They're the agent but you can get them as mentioned above from any outlet serving as distributor.

I don't know the ground but presume a decent meeting point would be the opposing 'Kop' end to the GZ fans. There will likely be a mixed crowd anyway, but if we head behind the goal area we'll surely bump into each other. Any Zugers know a good rendez vous spot at the station or nearby bar? Also, any info on connecting to the stadium would be useful.

Fans travelling from Zurich could take the 18:09 train, getting us there for 18:30, with time for beer beforehand. Later trains get in nearer to 19:00. Kick off is 19:30.

Should we say 18:00 at the meeting point in Zurich's main station for those interested from Zurich?

Picked up a ticket at SBB. Asked for CHF20 ticket. Received one that says standing area, red section.

Is red wrong? I mentioned white section to him, but this is what it came up with.

No, not wrong. I chose the white standing section at the Post Office but my tickets say Stehplatz, Sektor Rot too.

Not sure what UM's plan is beforehand but I am meeting our Irish friend and two others (skivers!) for drinks before if you can get off work early. Venue TBC.

Am surprised Riera is coming.

P.S. That Standard Chartered logo is bloody ugly.

Joe Cole to Liverpool? Have always liked the guy and he's the only English footballer with actual skills dribbling that round thing about.

Looks like the reason he left Chelsea was wages, which surprises me given the resources Chelsea supposedly have available. It doesn't bode well for Chelsea though if they want to sign any big name players this summer.

Re: Liverpool FC -vs- Grasshoppers Zurich, in Zug

Thanks to a kindly member PMing the following stadium info:

"http://map.search.ch/zug/herti shows which bus you need, I think it is either the No. 11 or No. 6, you can catch both of these across the road from the Bahnhof (taxi rank side) or you can walk down to the Herti Stadium it's only about 15 mins max. "

I guess we can roll down the street with a can of Feldschlossen in one hand, a Haribo stick in the other.

@HashBrown: 2nd Class there, 1st class back. Twas ever thus...

Please confirm, there are skivers everywhere. As mentioned earlier, arriving in Zug around 18:30 would be a good idea as by the time we schlepp to the stadium and spend half an hour in a queue for more Feldschlossen while Herr Meyer carefully pours each beer correctly, it'll be time for a round of 'Anfield Road' and 'He's big, he's boss, he talks like Jonathon Ross' before kick off.

Anyone travelling feom elsewhere feel free to arrange travel plans on this thread. I'm aware there are a few coming from the Zug region and beyond...

Is there going to be a meeting point at Zürich HB? It's going to be interesting to finally see what an EF specimen looks like in real life.
