Liverpool FC are playing Grasshoppers Zurich in Zug. There have been annual EF trips to see the Reds in action here in Switzerland and they're always well attended. Everyone is welcome.

In other news, there is only one Haribo factory in the UK, and it's right next to my old primary school in Pontefract. I'm still slightly traumatised that "Euro-Haribo" don't make Tangfastics.
I hear you man. Too tangfastic for Swiss palates perhaps...

Possibly so - those cherries are tangy enough to make even Harry Redknapps cheeks suck in.

I'll be stopping at Ye Olde Factorie Shoppe on my next visit home at the end of the month, let me know if you want a family sized tub of these bringing back...

Re: Liverpool FC -vs- Grasshoppers Zurich, in Zug

Thanks to all who enjoyed a dismal game with good cheer last night. We found a few people, we lost a few people; we found a few beers, we lost a few beers.

Pretty disappointing organisation from the stadium: 45+ minutes in a queue for drinks and same again for food was lousy. They didn't even play YNWA on the PA system, nor could we hear any announcements. Bah.

Still, a junior LFC reserves team against Switzerland's leading team resulted in 0-0, so there's hope yet.

Cheers to StirB & his chum MikeyBroomers for being Agent Provocateurs and booing everyone They were the best entertainment of the night.

Why should they play You'll Never Walk Again when Liverpool were the away team?
And calling GC Switzerland's leading team is pushing it slightly, sure FCB would have something to say about that...

As per usual, hung over the next morn.

And I must say I am glad I don't live in Zug. Not much going on there.

Was stuck up at work so couldn't reach the meeting point on time .. had to watch the game all alone. Though I travelled with a few grasshopers fans on the way to Zug who thought Ronaldinho plays for us .. lol.

Hi All,

Does anybody know are Liverpool playing in Switzerland this summer? And if so, where would I get tickets...?

I've looked on a thousand sites and I can't find anything for this summer. I'd really appreciate it if someone could let me know.

Thanks!

Nothing mentioned anywhere I can see. Maybe it's not happening this year. Shame.

I don't think they will be this summer as they have confirmed that they are playing in Asia and Norway. They are normally here in July but will be in Asia then!
