Young 'uns probably find the long toothed EF crowd worthy of an evenings flattery, but there must be lots of er, fresh faces about who'd like to hang out with genuinely youthful people, as opposed to us wrinklies.
If there are any lurking U-25s, make yourselves known. The main advantage of fraternising with your parents age group is their willingness to buy rounds of drinks...

Are we going to have to add "Uncle Maxing" to "Richdogging" in the EF dictionary?

Having just taken lunch with the green eyed Californian - and proposing she join this evening - it needs to be clear my role will be that of chaperone. Dastardly deeds will only go unnoticed should I be sufficiently imbibed for the duration. Mine's a glass of Sangiovese, if you will...

what about "uncle'd"? it has an incestuous sordidness to it one can then also be "uncle'd" c.f. "richdogged".

Going to pop for a couple directly from work I think, then home reasonably early.

Btw, to people who never have came to the Viadukt drinks, there is no need to rsvp, it is a casual (unofficial) gathering.
If you have any questions of who is from the EF and don't wish to ask around, head to the Cheese stand (get some yuminess while you are there) and ask Grumpy. He'll very kindly point you in the right direction.
See ya soon!

The only thing I don't like about these nights is that I miss the beginning 'cos I'm still working and I miss the end 'cos I have such a long drive home.
See y'all next week.
(Richdog, I thought you were only staying for a swift one? Just a thought....)

Lovely to see some fresh faces last night, along with the regulars.
It was good to start the evening with some real beer. Pity the otherwise excellent bar and restaurant serve so-so Swiss beer, when there's so much better stuff out there. If there's the will, it would be great if we could encourage the management to supply some tastier bevvies, such as the fabulous RappiGold or Black Bier. The brewery in Rapperswil won a European best black beer gold award last year and it's a shame this sort of product isn't widely available.
If you'd like to make the suggestion that they stock such beer, send them an email. Here's the contact info for the markthalle restaurant.
It's not much good haranguing the staff on the night, as they're too busy getting smiled at by Richdog serving to discuss the merits, etc.
Cheers. See you all next time!
