ask Anna who runs the bar (you'll know it's her your talking to as your knees will be rather weak) if Mike or any of his usual crowd is around. She knows us all.

I turned up after 9 last night and had a jolly time with some regulars and some non-EF newbies and had a treat time. I was too tired to tuck into what I thought were the last Curry Puffs but I just found a bag of themwith my name on which I'm munching for lunch. They are fantastic!

Mike, Anna asked Summerrain, "Where are the young ones?" and upset her a wee bit.

Non-EF newbies? You mean new to the bar, or are you leaning to the dark side?

By the way, did you find the pack of Rottweiler-shaped cookies with your name on it?

Seems like there is a difference between the daytime Wolli and the night-time Wolli.
Not really--both are overbearing bores prone to peremtory statements, which is kind of what I was trying to say with my former post, which jokingly corrects him, but subtlety and humor will obviously never be his forte.

The Deutsche Bank, which itself does NOT use the DB abbreviation, may in financial terms be xxx-larger, but in real terms is an irrelevant dwarf. And you, apparently a banking gnome, are displaying the usual banker's arrogance in the usual ugly way !

You might well realize that we "others", the non-bankers, are not your slaves but your customers. But the tone, we usually get from bankers leads to the ideas that non-bankers are perceived just as more or less useful idiots
Hehe. I see you don't take kindly to being challenged--I happen neither to be a banker not a higher-earner but I'm amused at your attempt to insult me by pegging me as one. I'm not going to apologize for what is quite a harsh tone for me, as I would probably tell you the same were I--heaven forbid--to run into you in person.

Popcorn is not classy enough for this bill. We need cheese and crackers.

Re: (Unofficial) Thursday Night Drinks at the Viadukt Market

In case people are planning their weeks already, I will be making my homemade chocolate chip cookies for the Viadukt on Thursday... And of course, I will be there for a few hours hanging between the cheese stand and the bar. It will be my last of the year, as I leave for holiday less than a week later.

Hope to see many of you.

I did thanks argus! (well, pony and rotti cookies).

It doesn't look like I can make this one again, and maybe not even the 16th. Hopefully we can get a big crowd for the 23rd though (if I promise to wear my kilt?)

If you wear your kilt, DB will have to wear his sarong (and Wolli his Alpine suit).

Let's see if I can drag my other half there on Dec 23.

Ok, now that sounds a little bit kinky....
That's only because you just got back from TJ.

I'm still undecided on which Chewychewy to bring: the man lover or the ditz.

UM will comment.

How about making it a meal? We kind of touched it on the other day and it might be fun for those of still in Zurich.

Re: (Unofficial) Thursday Night Drinks at the Viadukt Market

It looks like I will be popping in about 9 for a swift few. My Wing Man here has been instructed to lay out some cheesy nibbles at our stand for the EF crowd.

There may even be a bottle of Port open too

Well, if you really are coming by around nine, I will make sure to stay until then... Of course, I will already have quite a head start (and lots of cookies to boot).

You had me at Port.
Been a while. Miss the cheese. Oh, yeah, and the company's ok, too... might wander in later in the evening then.

No, I just had the impression that you were a typical banker. You say you are not, so alright. I am not trying to insult you, not at all. You have not to apologize for anything, but you might as well show a bit of the subtlety and humour you so proudly proclaim to have !

Peremtory statements ? Not that I know of. Possibly some vivid imagination running through with you ?

The Canadian (fallen) angel was sooo last year, nice wick memory though. Thanx for reminding me.

Bella is the winning Mexican; she loved Talacker and all the attention. Lulu in a food hall would be a disaster.

Hmm, who has the edge in this epic and bloody battle of wits, Bartholomew or Wollishofener?

Bartholomew wins by a staggering margin. Google can't be wrong... http://www.googlefight.com/index.php...=Wollishofener
