I'm new in town and game for a few drinks - what time are you meeting at?
Sue
Some say after 20.00, others after 20.30. I hope to be there between 19.30 and 20.00...
Looking forward to meeting you later.

Oh dear. I'll be there from about 7. I just hope I'm still upright by the time you all arrive.

Sometimes it is just a question of technique.
Even seemingly respectable people should be accustomed to the advantages of grappling onto the bar to maintain posture and composure.

Two problems.
1. What on earth makes you think
I am respectable?
And B. what the hell kind of beer is served in that kind of glass???

Depending on how you look at it, you are still upright even when you are parallel to the floor.
Have fun tonight though kids.

Re: (Unofficial) Thursday Night Drinks at the Viadukt Market
There is a new "bar" opened at the Viadukt. For a few weeks anyway this whisky caravan is serving a big range of spirits at what appear to be pretty reasonable prices. I have been told that the dark rum is particularly worth dying for.
Anyone fancy propping this up tomorrow night?
EDIT: Forget that, the caravan was towed away last night. Nice while it lasted though!

Darn, missed the caravan. Anyone coming by or is it PG's ski night? I'll bringing some Biltong and the good sunny vibe from La Med and Camps Bay.

Re: (Unofficial) Thursday Night Drinks at the Viadukt Market
Where the caravan was is a communal space where shops and stall holders can hold special tastings and promotions. From today the Suedhang wine shop are promoting wines from Ticino (just spotted a bottle of Grappa too). Looks like it'll be a free tasting this evening.
I'll be doing something very special there the last week of April.... and it will be a big party on the Thursday evening. DJs and fancy hats for the ladies please. More anon...
In the meantime, anyone else fancy a sherbet tonight?

I wish. The week has destroyed me, so socializing is a no-no at this point...

You wimp!
There's a few non EFers coming tonight (I'm hoping the German girl who told me about fondling the Popes balls will be along too), as usual, if you're new, ask Anna at the bar where we are or come to my cheese stall and ask me and I'll make the intro's.

Re: (Unofficial) Thursday Night Drinks at the Viadukt Market
Well unfortunately PG has had to cry off from his own ski night - I was planning to go to that. Since then I have been informed that someone at work arranged a social night tonight - and for some strange reason - named ME as the organiser. I don`t want to go
.
Doh . . I`m all in a tizz now
. I may just come down to the Viadukt around 20:30.

Is "sherbet" code for something or are you talking sorbet GG? I (and possibly Mathnut) would like to know what this carrot is.

Hats and DJ's are because someone is getting married on the friday.
Sherbet is Northern English secret code for alcohol, in any form.

You won't need to. I have more of the Scottish Ale that thinks it might be Pedigree.
