swimming lessons for advanced 8 year old

Hello there
Does anyone know who does swimming lessons for children who are quite advanced swimmers? (This 8 yo does laps in all swimming strokes and would like to keep up her swimming, but would also like to socialise with kids her own age.) Zurich area, but would be willing to travel if necessary.
Thanks
J

Re: swimming lessons for advanced 8 year old

Back again! If your daughter swims laps in all four strokes then she doesn't need swimming lessons as such, she needs a club. Uster is one of the ones with the highest standards fairly near Tann Rüti. Another club trains in Zürich Oerlikon - Limmat Sharks - also high standard. Meilen I'm not sure at the moment. Their pool is closed so I don't know where they train. If none of those suit you, Wädenswil has a club too but being on the other side of the lake it's more time consuming to get there. As there are so many ex-pats in the area, you'll likely find that someone will speak English and anyway, for swimming you need to talk 'swimmerish'.
