| | Ski Base Repair
While skiing at the weekend I gouged a pretty small hole in the base of my ski, close to the edge. Mr.P says he's up for repairing it, having done a few of these repairs in the past. The only problem is getting hold of ptex sticks to fill it in.
I know I could order some online, but as I'm skiing again this weekend I don't have time to wait for it to get delivered. (I could put it in to a shop to get it done but this would also take time.....and no doubt a load of money)
Does anyone have an idea of where I could get some ptex in the Baden/Aarau/Zurich area?
I have checked past threads for some information, but didn't see anything....apologies in advance if I've missed it.

If anyone else is looking for this stuff.... I managed to buy it today in Sport XX in Wettigen. (Cheap as chips 7.90 CHF.)

I chomped some big lumps out of my right ski and mullahed the edge, Ochsner in Zug fixed the base, sharpened the edges, and a serviced them for CHF54, and it took 4 days including sending them away.

Problem with a lighter is that you get black running through the Ptex which could affect the value of re-sale skis. I'd never take skis to have base repair to, unless I knew exactly how they'd do it. Most will just run the ski on the machine and take a lot of the base and edges away- skis look great when you pick them up- but next time you'll realise the base has gone. Lucky I have a friend who has a sport shop who knows his stuff.

Never sold any, though!
