A mate of mine has just moved to Switzerland, and we thought it would 'fun' to do this ride. We are all signed up, but I am now faced with the logisitics of getting 3 children under 4 (youngest will be 2 months) and associated kit on a plane. I'm not sure it is feasible to bring my bike as well, and I was just wondering whether anyone knew where I could hire one for the event? Doesn't have to be all the bells and whistles, but something up from one with a basket on would be appreciated!

I do some work with Bike Switzerland (some maintenance and guiding). If you rent bikes for the Cyclotour du Leman in late May then they'll probably be some of the brand new ones from the big new fleet that we're getting in for this summer.

The Cyclotour is a great event. There are a few other threads on here about it, just use "cyclotour" in the forum's search function and you should find lots more info.

We often try to organize a get together the evening before with a bunch of friends that will be doing the ride, so if you'd be interested in joining that then send me a PM nearer to the time, and I can hopefully give you details then.
