Hiking in Grindelwald at Easter - warm enough?

Hi All

I'm appealing to those of you familiar with the Grindelwald region / weather....

I'm a keen hiker and usually visit the Arosa region in mid summer. As I have to take a holiday much earlier in the year this year, due to work, I am looking at visiting Grindelwald at Easter time. I am hoping that as it is much lower altitude than Arosa that the weather will be suitable for hiking at this time. I'm just wondering whether those of you who know Grindelwald could tell me whether I will be able to do some decent hiking, of the type I would get in Arosa in high summer, in Grindelwald at Easter? The webcams look promising...

Many thanks in anticipation!

It sounds as if you already have some experience and are prepared. Even in summer you can get into snow or bad weather, particularly as you increase altitude. I have only been in the area from late Spring to early Autumn.

From Grindelwald you can experience a massive variety in the weather with around 3000m variation between Interlaken and Jungfraujoch.

There are a lot of threads about hikes in the area. Here are a couple of links to start you off.

Cheaper alternative to Jungfraujoch
