It's a grey area, quite open to interpretation (and if you can fit your bike around the barrier).

I don't read German, but could you translate what's written on the road sign in post #56 for me please?

Hi, Can you confirm if the PT is running? Were the restaurants offen?
For info, the bus from Meiringen to Grimsel begins operations on May 28th until sometime in October.

"Closed" simply means it is closed to cars and normal people; the law and mountain weather don't apply to experienced cyclists to the same extent

i can't help but point out that had it been someone else (someone outside the EF biking coterie) posting half the amount of misleading posts and behavior bordering recklessness that I see being encouraged in this thread, the Forum Sports Officer would have hounded this thread long ago

So much for double standards (or it is the bond of the lycra ).

p.s. Just occurred to me to remind people to update their Rega memberships, just in case, you know.

Re: Weekend Cycling Groups

Sounds like a solid road ride. Speaking though of dirt, are there also similar groups doing 25-50k mtb. rides, and if so, where may I find more information on this interest?

Thanks
