Hi,

I would like to go bouldering in Ticino, probably in Cresciano or Chironico, and could use some help with logistics. I've heard camping is tough, and would especially love suggestions about affordable places to stay (or camp if possible).

And, I'd need to rent a pad, if anyone knows where the best place to do that is, that would be awesome.

Any experiences you'd like to share would be great!

OK, but why have you heard that camping is a problem?

Lots of places that I know of, especially this time of year.

We'd be camping in a tent. I've heard through several climbers that there is not much camping there, at least around Cresciano. I did find one site, and a youth hostel.

Yes, there are more in southern Ticino (near the lakes).
