Running track? Stadiums?

are there any running tracks in Geneva? I'm looking for a good place to do sprints.

Also miss doing my stadiums... any place where people like to run stairs?

Thanks!

Re: Running track? Stadiums?

there are a few running tracks, where exactly are you and I'll send a link to your nearest. Yet to come across stadium steps though.

Re: Running track? Stadiums?

Oooo not well served. There's a 100m track nearby but your nearest 400m track is at Rte de Frontenex, Eaux Vives, Genève (put it into map.search.ch) and you'll locate it. you can always warm up with the run round the lake and through the park to it.
The rest tend to be well out of the town centre
- centre sportif des Evaux (Onex)
- Bout de Monde (Carouge/champel)
- on the far side of Meyrin 300m track
- and centre sportif, Versoix which probably has the nicest facilities.

There are lots of runners your way out at lunch times who do hill stuff near the botanical gardens too.

Re: Running track? Stadiums?

For hill runs, the best road is, as Kate says, by the botanical gardens. It is this one here and more or less 1km long.

Re: Running track? Stadiums?

Don't bother with the one in Meyrin. I went a couple of times and it was full of kids from the primary school next door. Slaloming around them made the lap times very slow. The track at Onex is great and in a big park for warming up + a free carpark & nice changing rooms nearby.
