Macun Lakes hike - experiences?
We are planning a week-long hike in the Enagadine region and, for one segment, were hoping to hike from Lavin, up to the Macun Lakes and making our way down to Zernez on the other side.
It seems that the hike would be much more difficult on the way up from Zernez, which is why we have chosen to approach it from the other direction. However, we are still a bit concerned about the descent, as many have commented on the steepness and scrambling.
Can anyone comment on this? Is it safest to return back down to Lavin or would you recommend taking it on?
We are not very experienced hikers, although we are relatively fit and adventuresome.
Thanks in advance!
