Does anyone knows any places where you can participate in sport activities in or around Neuchâtel...I am up for running, swimming, soccer, tennis, or any other individual or team sports.

Of course, you are surrounded by wonderful lakes, gorges, mountains - so no need for organised activities all the time. Just go - do it- enjoy.
And then will follow a winter of skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, lake skating, etc. (Let's hope, last winter was rubbish).

That is true..and I've been trying to enjoy a good running by the lake...biking . The organized activities would be more to meet people and get a chance to practice French ..get used with life around here..

Well if you come up to the mountains, pop in for coffee and a chat, in French. Quite happy to go for a walk too- but I am older with a bad knee, so can't do huge hikes.

I am in the Val-de-Travers, near Fleurier.

Nice area..i have been there early summer...I liked it a lot....Let me know when is a good time for you and feel like talking in French with a person who is in process of learning the language..
