Re: Friendly rowing club (Zurich)

Me and a mate of mine are looking for a boat. We would also be happy to join anyone who has a boat and just needs a couple of extra rowers.

Re: Friendly rowing club (Zurich)

Hey boys and girls..

I have been here for four weeks and today took a walk up to the rowing clubs and found none to speak english. You guys had any luck rowing out here? I used to scull but haven´t in years, I would however be interested in getting back involved if anyone is interested or would like to give me a push in the right direction....

Hi Michael.

Feel free to drop me a message on polytechniker-ruderclub.ch (über uns/kontakte/Kassierin). We do speak English, offer different rowing classes and are open to new members etc.

Hi Fishie, I am moving to Zurich in 2 weeks and looking to take up rowing as a new hobby. I haven't got any professional experience but thought it might be a nice way to get to know people, whilst keeping fit

Would you take on people without prior experience?

Rgds

Re: Friendly rowing club (Zurich)

Hi there!

Yes, we do. We offer rowing classes for beginners, they will be held in June 2012. During winter only experienced rowers are allowed on the lake - for safety reasons. But you are always welcome to take a look around in our boat house.

This thread is pretty old, but I thought I'd jump on it.
I've just arrived here in Zurich, I've alway's wanted to try rowing. I understand only experienced people are on the lake starting winter ---- however, do you have a training group that works out in you facility so I can see what it would be like???

Re: Friendly rowing club (Zurich)

Hi

I am moving to Zurich within the next few weeks and keen to join a rowing club. I am mainly looking for a relaxed, friendly environment where you can scull or row on the weekends and do weights/ergs throughout the week if/when you want to. Also, do clubs in Zurich have club singles available for use?
