Demi-pension (horse)? [Geneva]

I am interested in taking riding lessons near Geneva and was told about looking into a "demi-pension". Has anyone done this or have any advice? Thank you!

Re: Demi-pension (horse)? [Geneva]

Demi-pension essentially means renting a horse from an owner - demi pension usually implies 3 days per week, while 1/4 is one day per week. Lessons are not usually included. Private lessons typically run around CHF 50-60 per hour, group lessons: CHF 40. If you ar looking for lessons there is a wide selection of stables in the Geneva countryside and neighboring France. A demi pension will run around CHF 300 per month, a bit cheaper across the border in France. What is your riding experience? If you are relatively experienced English rider, I may be able to help.
