Le Grommont, Lac de Tanay

Does anyone know what the easiest way is to get to Le Grommont, ( by public transport) and/or to hike to Lac de Tanay?
Any advice appreciated.

Re: Le Grommont, Lac de Tanay

Only know lac de Taney - you can get a bus up the hill from Vouvry to almost the end of the road above Miex called le Flon. Shouldn't take more than 20 mins I would think. The bus probably originally goes from Aigle which is the nearest train station and a bit of a hub for these things.

definitely worth the trip, i think it's really nice accessible hiking/picnic venue with lots of options depending on fitness and appetite.

Re: Le Grommont, Lac de Tanay

Hello,
Grammont (at least everywhere it's written like that) is peak above Taney, quite easily accessible from Taney, time estimation would be around 2-3 hours. Beautiful views on Lac side, and little bit also towards Valais and Mont Blanc range.
Just follow the road after Taney, rocky road continues quite high through small pass and after that it is a pleasant walk in grass pathway. No possibility to get lost. Just take something warm because it can get quite windy up there
