Morat Fribourg Lauf

Did anybody do this run? I'm registered to do it this year as the distance is OK but the race profile I just found somewhere makes it look proper tough (not vs Jungfrau marathon or any of these crazy events) but it looks harder than a typical fun run....

Any ex-runners?

I`ve driven it a few times. Climbing all the time, but only one good hill that sorts out the field. Have a good run.

Yes it is quite tough! I did it 2 years ago when marathon training. If you are properly trained for the distance you'll be fine, and it's a lovely route with great support. I would not recommend it to anyone who has not done any training as it's all uphill (though gradual).

I've done it a few times and can highly recommend it, it's a beautiful rolling course and there's a great, supportive atmosphere. There are a couple of hills but definitely nothing like the gradients you'll find in some of the mountain running events.

Re: Morat Fribourg Lauf

My wife did it a couple of times a few years ago. She said it is a tough race, but as said above, there is a great atmosphere and a hugely supportive crowd. Funnily enough, she said the absolute worst part was the the long, flat, straight next to the hockey stadium. If you live in Fribourg, there is preparation training every Wednesday evening at the Moncor forest.
