Boot camp in zurich?

Hello everyone,

I am based in Zurich and I am looking for an outdoor boot camp that meet on a weekly basis. Can anyone recommend/ know anyone who can help me? I hate exercising indoors but I also need someone to motivate me. I find jogging alone depressing!

Any thoughts?

thanks guys

Stella

Re: Boot camp in zurich?

If you do a google powered search (rather than a forum search) you will get lots of info. The forum search is notoriously bad!

If you can get to Zug we will be organising some boot camps starting in a couple of weeks. We do a mixture of bodyweight training and mix it up with some modified strongman and strong gal training. We work with sled, tyres some boxing thrown in to name just a few things

We also offer a complete body structural balance test and muscle testing to make sure that you are training safely.

Weekend April 20th we have two guest international trainers who regularly coach pro-rugby teams and other pro athletes

More details to follow soon but please post back if this would be of interest

best

Re: Boot camp in zurich?

Hi! I coach a weekly running class on Wednesday nights in Zurich at Sihlhölzli (near Bahnhof Wiedikon) at 19h. These sessions include running technique, coached interval training and some core conditioning. I own a CrossFit and functional training gym in Richterswil and offer sessions there as well. The Zurich running classes are focused on developing efficiency, speed & fitness, as well as having fun in a group setting. More info at hillseekerfitness.com.

There's also a well-recommended boot camp here. It's inside, but meets 3x a week in the mornings, is centrally located in Zürich & the attendees really seem to love it. It's not affiliated with me, but I'm happy to recommend other passionate & quality trainers.

Please keep me informed by pm regarding this.

This is something Rugby Club Zug would be interested in.

Re: Boot camp in zurich?

Hi,I go to a fabulous boot camp and I cannot reccomend it highly enough. The instructor's name is Julie (Canadian) and she is so motivating and boy does she know her stuff. Her website is fit2day and she has a studio in Zollikon (on the forchbahn line) and she also does one day a week outdoors down at Lake Zurich on Friday mornings. The rest of her boot camp classes are at her new studio in Zollikon but she sends us outside to do runs, sprints, ball slams, jump rope etc...She has videos of her classes on the website and the class schedule. Everybody who goes is nice and we are always happy to welcome newcomers.

Perhaps a name change is in order? Stopping for the Winter because it gets a little bit chilly doesn't really fit with the term Boot camp

In case you are affiliated with either of the colleges in Zurich, maybe you can take a look at the ASVZ boot camp. I only know that the course exists, but have no idea what it is like.

Re: Boot camp in zurich?

Just came across this searching on Google. I can highly recommend this a.m. boot camp, which is held at Holmes Place in Zurich (though you don't need to be a member:

https://www.hiit-bootcamp.com/

The trainer, Kevin, is amazing. He adapts to your fitness level: so if you're a beast, he'll push you further. If you're just starting out, he'll make sure you have a handle on your form and the basics first, and can go at your own pace.

There's also a high-intensity class on Thursday mornings that I highly recommend.

His boot camp is 35 Sfr a session, and HIIT is 20 Sfr, but I have a six-month Abo where it's a bit cheaper. The morning classes are a great deal because it's basically free entrance to Holmes Place as well.

Highly, highly recommend this guy's classes.

I'm currently not allowed to do HIIT type stuff but I second this recommendation, I know the owner of this company personally and she takes the quality assurance of her trainers very seriously.
