Horse riding?

As someone shortly moving to the Zurich area, I am considering whether to bring my Dehner riding boots. But I am more inclined to keep them in storage if I cannot find a place where I can continue taking dressage lessons (I'm beginner / intermediate) at a relaxed barn around Zurich (preferably near Horgen) where they also speak English. I'm wondering whether that is too much to ask or if there are some options to explore. Any guidance appreciated!

Re: Horse riding?

Hi Happiness,
I will be moving to Zug area from Australia in August.
I too would like to get back into riding once I have settled in.
I have a number of international competitors as contacts that I'm hoping will provide some feed back/suggestions as to trainers, competitions etc in Switzerland.
I have been involved with horses all my life and competed in Dressage, Eventing, Showjumping, Thoroughbred Racing and a touch of Polo in Australia and although I've had a few years off from competition riding, I think it would be a great way to meet new people with similar interests in Switzerland and I'm looking forward to pulling on the boots again myself. If I gain any relevant info I will be sure to pass it on.
Cheers Sandra

Re: Horse riding?

Dear Sandra

Feel free to PM me when you get into town. I'm here now and beginning the adjustment myself. I sadly decided I didn't have enough room to ship my Dehner boots so will not be riding while I'm here. But I wouldn't mind some horse-based company!

Cheers...
