Where can I buy MSR Superfuel or Coleman Fuel in Basel? We have a MSR Whisperlite Stove. Thanks!

Re: MSR or Coleman Fuel

if you "really" want to buy msr or coleman fuel then you can buy it from bachli or other specific camping shops - they are near the SBB, they are open until 8pm

however you can also use car body panel wipe which is what the coleman fuel is - go to a body repair place with a can or just use petrol - it burns perfectly clean once running and does not mark or soot the pans.

another alternative is paraffin or ethanol - available at all french supermarkets for around €2 a litre

Thanks ... I appreciate all your suggestions. Probably any alternative to MSR Superfuel will be cheaper. Thanks again.

If you're truly frugal, you can make it yourself from regular gasoline. It's just a simple distillation process to remove the additives.

Why? That's a much more complicated process.
