Snowboard lessons close to Fribourg

Hopefully someone can help me out.

I am interested in learning to snowboard. I live in Fribourg and have no car as yet. Does anyone know of a place close by or where I can get to by public transport and have lessons. I have had lessons before but am very rusty so would like to have a refresher course.

Have a great sunny day

Re: Snowboard lessons close to Fribourg

Hey there,
I've been snowboarding for 10 years so maybe I could help you out. The only problem is that all of my equipment is still back in the States so I am waiting for it to arrive. When were you thinking of beginning lessons? and for how long?
Thanks,
Michaela

Hi there

wow that sounds great . That is such a good idea. When do you expect your equipment to arrive? I would like to learn soonish.
I also have a board that I am waiting to arrive has been in storage for 3 years but I suppose I could rent.

I am warning you , I suck at snowboarding, do you have the patience!!! ha ha

hi,

Here is one piece of friendly advice .... get some wrist protection !
You can get a pair gloves that has them inside ! It will spare you some pain or worse.
I stopped snowboarding many years ago but Maybe I should try again ...

When doese the snowboarding season start ... Anyway last year there was very little snow !

Anyone goes to les paccots ?

Re: Snowboard lessons close to Fribourg

Hi.

I live in Neuchatel and have no idea about snowboarding. I have no equpiment either. But I am more than certain that I want to learn and do some snow boarding this winter.

I am willing to take lessons as well. The point is, I dont own a car and have to do all by public transport. Even if it is uncomfortable with public transport, i have all the desire I need to do it. I just need the right medium. i.e the right info from where and what and how I need to see while buying equipement. And then some lessons as in how to do it.

I have been in Swiss for some time now, but never had the chance to do snow boarding due to some reason. Just wanna do it now.

Any kinda assistance will be appreciated.

Thanks
Amit

Re: Snowboard lessons close to Fribourg

Hi Amit,
I am also in Neuchatel and a snowboarder. Thoughts are turning to the winter season and the chance to get on the slopes but since I am new to the area I haven't figured out where the nearest slopes are. Maybe we can meet for a chat and make some plans?
Let me know,
Lysandra
