Some random health questions.

Say I need 2000 calories to maintain my "figure" and I get them from healthy foods mostly.

Q1- What happens if I say get those 2000 calories from Zweifel paprika chips or Lind chocolate for one week straight?

Q2- What if I quickly go gym each of those 7 days and burn 1000 calories doing cardio?

Re: Some random health questions.

1: you'll probably feel hungry as 2000 calories in potato chips are less filling than 2000 calories in lean meat, veggies and fruit. You could also feel sluggish.

2: You'll be short of 1000 calories daily, which means that you'll start to lose weight. However, I highly doubt that you manage to do a 1000-calorie-work-out every daily after only eating chips for some time.

Thanks Lyn.I was only talking about one week though. I agree only chips will make me feel hungry but I have Yoda like mind over body control. I was more curious as to what negative impact such a diet would have on the body if any when done for one week only?

Re: Some random health questions.

If you eat healthily during the entire year and decide to live on potato chips for a single week, you'll probably just mess up your digestion and for the rest there is no damage to be expected

You don't really want to do that though, do you?

Re: Some random health questions.

not quite the same thing but to fully understand the potential health risks you need to watch the movie "supersize me" where the guy ate nothing but McDonalds food for a month.

or follow Lost in Broad on his next trip to KFC.

Well, I'm sure Mrs. G won't mind following me on the KFC trip....

Coincidentally, I was just thinking about this movie today. Supersize me is a rather biased pseudo documentary IMO....because switching from a regular diet to anything onesided will most likely created unwanted physical side effects. By switching, I don't merely mean the diet, but rather eating only from one restaurant like in the movie. For instance, imagine you are used to a steady diet consisting of various homecooked meals and some random restaurants...then think what would happen, if you would only eat from a Migros or Coop restaurant....the exact same thing. Your health would deteriorate whilst getting forcefully addicted to the food. Also, another point I disagree with the movie is, that he had to take the supersized meal whenever he was asked.

Re: Some random health questions.

If you got sick of chips and chocolate you could try 2.5 bottles vino rosso per day instead.

Re: Some random health questions.

There was a man that did a 'twinkie' diet. He ate only 1800 calories a day so he did lose weight but surprisingly his health appeared to improve. I only just looked up the story and read the details - I thought he ate only twinkies but did take vitamins and eat a mix of junk foods and some veggies.

If I had Yoda like mind over body control, I would want to use it for good, not evil.

I agree, you would probably feel nauseous and get a headache, but still lose some weight. The 1000Kj gym routine would probably take longer to complete as the week progresses as well.
