Running Track at Kantonsschule Oerlikon

Hi, I was wondering if it is okay to use the running track at Kantonsschule Oerlikon? I'd like to get a speed work session done and this is track is in good proximity.

I used to always use it. You will get some angry looks from the local kids, for some reason, but its not bad. Of course its a half-track. So 8 laps are a mile etc etc.... The corners are harder on your knees if youre running 200m to 400m sprints though. So be forewarned!

Thanks y'all! I'll be visiting my wife in Oerlikon. I'm still in NC. She's on a long-term assignment w/ ABB. Doing Ironman Switzerland and need to get in one last track workout.

Well if you put it like that I would suggest doing a Mount Pilatus workout because Zurich isnt exactly a high altitude.

Its very accessible and there are good trails up the mountain that lead to the station at the top. Its going to be much better for your lungs than a Zurich based workout. You can run the trail up and then take the train down. Thats just a suggestion though.

1200m Sprints!? Wow! Typically I just run a ladder work out. Well for the Iron man I dont know how much you will sprint (I dont know how these things work) but for lung capacity you might want to make a day trip up the mountain and torture your lungs a bit
