Tempo Sport in Thalwil rent mountain bikes - quite close to the station, opposite the entrance to the Migro underground carpark. Has a website if you search for it on Google.

Re: rent mountain bike!!

Only your ID ( or passport or GA ) plus a 100% refundable deposit is required to take a city bike, or one with a tandem or even an E-Bike.

E-Bike battery lasts for 4 hours, come back for a spare battery and carry on

I have long sold off my bike and use these guys whenever I need a bike ( maintenance free too ).

Enjoy!

PS: There are other Gemeindes that this project is being extended to. There is also a Hauslieferdienst ( Home Delivery Service ) eg. http://www.thalwilbringts.ch/ - clients are normally those who reside in the Altersheim but generally open to anyone.

How it Works:

Recycling vignettes in a business or buy directly from us, 4 pcs of CHF 2 -.
A vignette on the original of the completed delivery glue (a glue per bag).
Already provide separate recycling materials at home.

Recycling without home delivery of purchases:

You call us, the recycling material put in paper bags ready, stick a recycling sticker on each bag, we pick up everything.
Telephone 043 305 72 17

Re: rent mountain bike!!

Most workers do that - take the bike right after they step out from the train and cycle to work. Bikes good for the whole day else a CHF10 penalty applies. EOD is 8.30pm

I will ask next time I have to go to coop.

I was thinking how to get a bike when my brother comes to show him the lake... I think that's the best idea. Thanks

Re: rent mountain bike!!

Soon ( hopefully ), once can take a bike from one station and drop it off at another along the 67km coastline of the lake ( without requiring ID but merely a deposit and a membership card ). Season closes end October and reopens end April and in Winter they repair bikes, for a song.
