Where did you get your bacon or is the Swiss brand?
Being Swiss born and raised, that is bacon to me, the bacon strip type. Coop has the bacon rasher type (or had, haven't bought it for a while).

Re: I simpy can't lose weight ? :-S any advice ??

There was a very interesting series of documentaries on the BBC recently called "The Men Who Made Us Thin", they looked at how such things as low-fat diets came about, looked at the motivation for the theory behind them and other diet & exercise advice then looked at them from a the perspective of current scientific knowledge. You should watch it and then you will see why I call it old school.

Might be why I have 8000 plus followers on twitter these days mostly nutritional experts following me

Very old school

Well, apart from the sugar-laden ketchup and beans, toast and white potatoes (which I could replace with yummy sweet potatoes), that's pretty much what my breakfasts look like. I tend to add some green veg and have a little less meat but yeah, that's what I eat and I lose weight.

Perhaps

But 33 mins is genuinely fast. As in proper fast. As in part of an international squad fast.

It could well be that both posters aren't exactly telling the whole truth
Sort of Paula Radcliffe of EF..... (only couple of minutes slower)

My, my...I feel honoured to have top athletes amongst us.

Ok, can I follow my diet as strict as I can but allow myself a bit of sweet sometimes? Like, now???

How does it goes for those who are or was on diet? Did you manage to follow it perfectly from day 1? Changing the habits doesn't seem too hard. Today, day two, I was fine even feeling hungry most of the day. But the craving..... It is soooooooo hard!
It all depends on what plan you are following/what you are consuming.

There are lots of healthy choices that are sweet. There are lots of unhealthy choices that are sweet. Nothing can be eaten freely.

If you're craving something, but not hungry, and otherwise, have eaten all the things your diet permits for that point in the day, just drink a lot of water and try to occupy your mind with something else that consumes your thoughts. Sometimes we eat and drink out of habit, not necessity. Exercising is good for distracting... Watching a film... Learning a language... Telephoning or seeing friends... Reading...

Whilst you are still just a few days into the changes, it might help to celebrate/recognise the success at the end of each day, so you have a burst of feel-good momentum to carry you into the next day. It could be via a calendar with smiley faces... A long soak in a steamy bubble bath...

Are your hubby and kids also healthy eating? Are they encouraging your efforts?

Would starting a blog appeal to you, so you can photograph and document your progress, and inspire others?

Food control is hard, but it's worth the rewards. You never regret resisting the unhealthy options the next day when you look at your body and feel energised.

Are you allowed agave syrup on your diet? It's sweet but has a much lower GI than sugar and is sweeter so you don't need to use so much.

There are loads of reports online condemning agave syrup, as most of what's available in the shops is processed sweetener apparently, with high fructose levels.

-legume 50gr.
-meat 100 gr. / 1 egg
-1fruit

Snack:

-2 yogurts / glass of milk
-1 fruit

I am a bit comfused why your doctor has put you on such an extreme diet - your weight is fine, right? Do you really need to be that strict to control the pre-diabetes? 1200 calories is not a lot...I would be depressed if I were put on that diet, I am afraid...
