Looking for Swimming Lessons Zurich to start now

Hello,

Searching for an English speaking swimming class or private teacher to teach me a 25 year old female (I am an 'advanced' beginner). ideally an evening or Saturday Morning and reasonably priced! Would be great if based around altstatten.

Thanks

Re: Looking for Swimming Lessons Zurich to start now

Contact i-b-deborah on this forum. She is an English speaking (well sort of) swimming teacher who is co-owner of a swimming school in Zürich.
They teach everyone from babies up to adult improvers.

Re: Looking for Swimming Lessons Zurich to start now

I also live close to Altstetten (sort of) and I can't swim but I want to learn!
I have to admit that I am a tiny tiny bit afraid of the deep water (if nobody is around me and I am in a deep pool or lake where I can't touch the bottom and keep my head up....) BUT otherwise I looove splashing around and I really try to swim... I need a very very patient teacher!!

I live in Affoltern, 5 min to walk to Katzensee. It is warm and shallow (quite) , due to this heat we abandoned our usual walks with my dog and just go swimming two times a day So if you'd like not to be afraid of the water - you are welcome to join Promise loads of splashing

How is it difficult...? several people here in this thread are offering their services.

My vote is for I-B-Deborah and her team. She has several happy customers on this forum.

. . .and me! I thought I could swim . . but I couldn`t . . not in a technical way anyway.
I have benefited not only in an improved technique but also during post operative rehabilitation.

I knew I couldn't. Completed my first open water olympic distance triathlon last weekend. And now actually enjoy open water swimming

Send a private message to Deb (i-b-Deborah) - she might be Australian (don't hold it against her) but she's the person to talk with in Zurich when it comes to swimming. I've seen her in action and she is excellent with beginners.

She'll turn you from a "sinky" to a "floaty" before you know it

Re: Looking for Swimming Lessons Zurich to start now

Thanks DK. We invented freestyle don't you know.

As for swimming, my school holds courses for beginners, as well as private lessons.

Unfortunately the pool has decided to close for the entire summer, but I am heading out today to some of the surrounding pools to see if any of those will let me work there.

I will get back to you later with an update. Meanwhile, if you would like some details about the next semester (beginning in August), hit me up!
