| | Looking for a physio in Zurich
Hey everyone
So, it seems that I've gone and buggered my hamstring, so i'm in need of a physiotherapist.
Can anyone recommend one? I did do a search but the last threads I could find on the subject were dates 2011 and earlier, so a more contemporary set of recommendations would be great.
And as an aside, even though I did this to myself on my own time, my understanding is that the accident insurance my employer pays for will cover me for this, can anyone confirm or deny that?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. | | | | | Can't recommend a current physio as I've not needed one for the last 4 years (touch wood!) but can confirm that accident insurance covers you even for accidents sustained outside of work.
I slipped and fell over in a car park on my skiing holiday a few years ago and the resulting dislocated shoulder was covered, no questions asked.
I also got smacked in the teeth with a ski helmet (different holiday) and my dental treatment for the smashed tooth was also paid for in full by accident insurance.

Hey,
I was wondering if someone does have a physio recommendation. I checked some threads, but they are mostly from 2013 and some of the links don't work.
If you know of any English/French speaking physios, I would love a contact.
Thank you!

I went to Physiotherapie Greiner in Stauffacher when I injured my shoulder.
Mrs Greiner speaks very good English and French and Mrs Gebhard speaks English.
My shoulder is fine now.

I really like Sandra Franzoso at the Wiedikon Santémed. You don't have to have the Santémed insurance to go there, at least I didn't when I went.
She speaks great English, and really knows her stuff - she does a lot of continuing education, etc.

I've been visiting Reha-Prime next to the Prime Tower for a few months off and on and can heartily recommend them. Nearly all the youngish team speak English.

Hi, I have done the same thing, screwed up my hamstring and just made my first physio appointment today. Cant make a recommendation as I haven't seen anybody yet but had to call a couple of places as first appointments were in mid December!.

I know a German guy (who speaks English) who'd come over to CH to treat you in your house on weekends. He is doing physio since a long time for clients in Munich only so far, but wants to reach out to Zurich, too.

I think it is quite close to where I live, as I went for a run today and spot them!
Do you know how much is normally a physio session here?

I went to http://www.medbase.ch/standorte-teams/zurich and I like the fact that they try to get you back to sport as soon as possible. I have gone to them several times over the years with my overuse injuries and they got me back up and fighting fit pretty soon.
The last time I went I tore my calf muscle 5 weeks before a cross country ski tour from the east to the west of Finland. I managed to still do the event and do half days instead of full days thanks to their help.

thanks, | | | | | It was paid for by my accident insurance the last time I went so not sure about prices. But all the staff who work there are into sports themselves usually.
