Hi!

I just moved to Bern and decided that I need a bike.

Does anyone have any tips about buying a used bike in Bern?

I saw that the Pro Velo people recommend three Velo-Recycling-Werkstatt "Drahtesel" -shops on their web pages. Are these any good?

I just need a city bike for going around town and maybe to nearby villages. How much would a used one cost here?

I already asked Bern´s tourist information but they only gave me one address for a shop for new bikes and told me to use google...

Suggest you try getting in contact with user : Starbug , her fella works in a bikeshop in Bern.

If i'm not mistaken, the "Ski und Velocenter" organises every spring special sales for bikes. Have a look at this link.

...AND ask SBB or the Stadtpolizei: they do also sell the bikes left from the lost-and-found.
