Bike repair shop in Zug

Hi all,

I would like to have some advices on an english or french speaking bike repair shop in or around Zug. I bought a mountain bike back in October via CRC and I had to do some changes on the gearing system to accommodate with my needs.

Since then, I have been experiencing some random issues with my rear gearing system; and I went twice to a local bike shop to get it fixed. Every time; I have paid for their services but the issue is still there and I abandoned the idea of getting it fixed by them.

So I am looking for your recommendation since I don't want to do it on my own as it could get worse.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Re: Bike repair shop in Zug

What kind of problem are you having, perhaps some of the EF mtbers would be able to help? Try give a description of the problem, type of gears (shimano / sram...) bike make, etc....

There are so many bike shops in the Zug area but one shop that I quite like as they have always been very willing to help me even though I have never bought any bikes from them directly is bikecorner, they are in Baar or to be more accurate Neufeld, between Baar and Zug.

http://www.bikecorner-baar.ch/

Also have found the guys at Velorado and Febru Rad sport both in Steinhausen to be good.

Re: Bike repair shop in Zug

Hi swissvan,

Thanks for your reply. So to explain you my situation, I am right hand amputee and in order to ride my MTB with access to all command I had moved everything from the right side of the handlebars to the left side. (see attached file)

Because two trigger shifters could not be placed on the left I had the rear trigger shifter replaced by grip shifter.

Since this changed has been done I cannot shift down to the lower pinion. By manipulating the cable tension, it seems to work but not everytime; it is really random.

I have read and saw on YouTube describing the operation but the operation still seem very obscure to me.

If anyone around Baar / Zug could kindly help (I would be happy to buy a beer in exchange or pay a raisonnable amount for this service).

Cheers,

did you manage to get this fixed?

ensure the cable is correctly tightened, and adjust the screws on the rear derailer

Re: Bike repair shop in Zug

Hi,
Thanks for your answer, yes I went to Bike Corner and they got me everything fixed in less than 5 min. They also took the time to explain me what to do in case I would like to fine tune the setup.
Cheers
