In theory yes - but I broke a toe just under 2 weeks ago - and best I am managing at the moment is swimming. I can now just about managed a few hundred metres of walking without hobbling.

Come on, don't be a softie We underestimate the function of our toes, particularly the little ones.

Hope you are back to running soon

Re: Zurich Marathon / city run / team run 2014

I started January targeting the marathon, but must admit that the long runs were getting to me this time around, so I gave up that idea pre-dawn one Sunday morning as I slipped for the 5th time on ice, and it was trying to snow on me - and that was in a mild winter!

I'll be back for that one, but have entered the 10k in the meantime

Any goals regarding time or is it a case of just finishing?
Good luck.

Ah, just going to see how it goes. I got my personal best there last year which is not uncommon because it is reasonably flat course. But I haven't trained quite as seriously this year. I'll be happy with anything I think.

Hopefully it will be a little warmer than last year. The route is nice enough, especially if you live in Zurich its great to do your home town run, up Bahnhofstrasse and so on.

Any of the distances will be fun I am sure.

Completed two myself but due to injury could not make this years race. PB is 3.12 and hope one day I will achieve a sub 3, dependent on my body holding out!

Good look and enjoy the Marathon. I will be there as a spectator (a marathoner with torn tendon). :-(

Good luck to everyone running this weekend.

It is looking a bit wet, but all the more reason to run fast!

OK... Just in case 42km isn't going to be challenging enough, I am going to be "on the run"

Say hello as you go past
Cheers

Conditions look pretty good, albeit a bit chilly awaiting the start I would expect.
